***ABOUT THIS SITE***

.....Welcome to Honiton Rugby Club's Website. Please feel free to have a look around. We are proud of the fact that our site is seen as one of the best Rugby Club sites in the SW and we regularly get high numbers of hits a month. Despite this we are constantly adding to the various pages.

The Fixtures page seems to be the most popular as it gives details of all our sides fixtures and games with pre and post match reports. There is a Notice board page, a Merchandise page and a Committee member’s page if you wish to contact us. The History page is under development at the moment as we still have a lot of archiving to do but despite this, there are currently lots of old photos and the honours boards is on there. Finally there is the player profile page, which seems to get viewed with some amusement.

Last season unfortunatley the club's Senior side finished third from bottom in the Devon and Cornwall league and as such were relegated back into the Devon league. That is now thankfully a distant memory and the club is looking to bounce back from the set back and with the clubs "125 anniversary" this season there is alot of activity to ensure we have a good year both on and off the field.

The club fields a second string who this year continue in their tough league. Last season they also struggled but managed to finish strongly to avoid relegation. With interest high for the "125 season there may be the opportunity for several third team games this year.

In addition to the Senior section the club runs a full Youth set up which has gone from strength to strength. We provide rugby for boys and girls aged 7 right up to under 18. Training night is on Wednesday night and all new comers are more than welcome to just turn up and train....Just make your self known to some one who looks like they are in charge and before you know it, you too will be hooked to what is the worlds greatest team sport!

Back to the Website, we are always looking for new information and ideas on how we can improve our site and would welcome being contacted by anyone with stories or old photos of past players. We would also be happy to embrace any new players, benefactors and potential Sponsors who can all help towards keeping our amateur but seriously friendly club going. Just look on the committee page and give some one a bell.

Yours

Dave Todd (Stopper)
